Aspiring business leaders encouraged to apply for Young Business Mentoring Program
Applications are NOW OPEN for the Tamworth Business Chamber 2018 Young Business Mentoring Program.
The Young Business Mentoring Program is open to business persons aged 18 to 35 years who reside and/or work in the Tamworth region and who are passionate about personal growth and business development.
2018 will see an overhaul of the highly sought after professional development program, with a panel of mentors being present at each monthly workshop. The workshops will be completely interactive to allow for better engagement and understanding.
Tamworth Business Chamber President Jye Segboer said that while one on one mentoring has proven successful, this change will allow greater access to a range of local business leaders.
“This is an exciting change for the Program, but also for the individual mentees. Being able to personally access a range of Tamworth’s best business minds at the same time, will provide greater insight into business topics while expanding their professional network.”
“The Program is invaluable for personal and professional growth and expanding their networks. Tamworth is in such an exciting phase of economic development and being part of this Program will provide young business persons with the tools to be part of this future.”
The Business Mentoring Program will be delivered over 6 months, commencing in February 2018. The monthly workshop and training session will be delivered by ATAC.
The program consists of the below 6 workshops:
The Program has been developed to young provide business people with an opportunity to complete BSB40215 Certificate IV in Business through a structured mentoring program. The format ensures participants achieve the best possible outcome in relation to both their professional & personal growth and studies.
Samantha Crebert, CEO of ATAC said that the skills learnt during this Program provides a more holistic view of business.
“As a young person myself, having undertaken several mentoring programs, the value of being involved with the Young Business Mentoring Program should not be underestimated. The skills that you learn through the interaction with others and following a structured training approach, allows you to gain the knowledge to finally put the puzzle pieces of business together and start to take a more holistic approach to the things you do. This program will give you a whole new appreciation for running a business!”
Mr Segboer concluded that, “If you are a young business person serious about professional development and taking the next step in your career, I encourage you to participate in this Program. Talk to your employer or give us a call at the Chamber to find out more.
The program costs $450 (+ GST) for members and $750 (+ GST) for non-members. Mentor and mentee applications close Thursday 25th January 2018. Places are limited.
