What are the award categories?
With the changing face of progressive businesses today, the awards are open to all industries and sizes, from a single operator in a home-based setting, to retail shop fronts, tradies and the larger corporations competing nationally and internationally.
Innovation and economic priorities feature highly with awards for businesses that promote safety, innovation and creativity. Those committed to social inclusion will be honoured alongside one of the long-standing industries in Tamworth, being hospitality, accommodation and tourism.
It is also the chance to recognise the faces behind the businesses with award categories for individuals who have made an outstanding contribution, employers, entrepreneurs and leaders of the future.
In 2021 there will be new awards with hair and beauty separated into two customer service categories and a dedicated pet services award.
Amongst the 30 regional awards, nine winners will go on to the regional finalist awards hosted by the NSW Chamber of Business.

Who should enter?
These awards are open to all businesses, ‘not for profits’ and social enterprises operating in the Tamworth Local Government Area - you don’t need to be member of the Tamworth Business Chamber and there is no cost to enter.
If I have entered in the past or been nominated previously, can I enter again?
Experience matters and for all the entrants, finalists and winners from previous years, the Tamworth Business Chamber welcomes you back for a chance to measure your continuing successes against the best in your category.
What are the benefits of entering?
Previous entrants speak of it being one of the greatest opportunities to focus on ‘working on the business’ and not ‘in the business’. Many were amazed by how the submission process and opportunity of networking with other thriving business operators, guided their strategic business plans into the future.
All entrants receive a “nominated” sticker to proudly display at your workplace and if your business is judged a finalist or winner, you’ll want to put Friday 10 September in your diary for the Gala Awards night at TRECC.
How do I win Link Airways tickets?
Every business that accepts their nomination, or nominates their business into one of our Aligned Categories, goes into the draw to win tickets of two courtesy of Link Airways. We will draw one set of tickets LIVE on the Chamber's Facebook Page at 4pm on the following days:

What should I do if my business is nominated?
If you have been nominated, to accept your nomination you must complete your acceptance using the link we provide you.
It is such a compliment to be nominated by a customer that we strongly encourage you to accept this recognition – after all, you’d hate to lose their business!
If you are self-nominating for the NSW Business Chamber Aligned Categories, then jump into the portal now and start your submission.
What’s the difference between Customer Service Awards and Aligned Category Awards?
There are a total of 17 Customer Service Awards that the community nominate their favourite businesses into. The remaining 10 categories require businesses to self-nominate and take the time to reflect on recent goals and achievements
Who judges the Awards?
Over 60 professional judges have been recruited from a range of industries and experience to ensure we undertake a robust and transparent judging process
Is there a People’s Choice Award?
Yes. All finalists will be automatically eligible, and we will open voting on 23 August 2021. You will be given all the details to promote yourself to your customers, should you be named as a finalist.
