The best vote in this federal election is an informed vote.
Rather than looking at voting as something we just do because we have to, the business and wider community we need to change the way we think for this Federal Election.
Business and the community can actually have a lot of influence in the outcomes for our region by coming together and asking the tough questions
Who has the best interests of our business community in mind?
Who best understands the issues we face in regional Australia?
Who will advocate strongly on our behalf, and what policies underpin their position?
Nationals candidate and current member for Barnaby Joyce, Country Labor’s Yvonne Langenberg, United Australia’s Cindy Duncan and independent candidate Adam Blakester are all expected to participate.
A ballot for the order of speakers will be conducted at the beginning of the evening.
Each candidate will be opportunity to speak about their reasons for seeking election and their particular policies, and then answer a series questions put to them by the moderator from questions submitted to us in advance
Subject to time, members of the audience will then have an opportunity to put questions to the candidates from the floor.
Following the formal part of the evening there will be a chance to talk informally with the candidates over tea and coffee.
