Tamworth Regional Council is seeking Expressions of Interest for a business opportunity in relation to the proposed No. 1 Oval Pavilion Upgrade.

A Council spokesperson said expressions of Interest are being sought in the interest of maximising the community benefit of the planned grant-funded upgrade to the pavilion at No. 1 Oval.

“There has been feedback from the private sector about the Tamworth CBD having limited quality function space,” the spokesperson said. “There is a potential business opportunity to enhance this project with an extension to the first storey of the building to create a multi-purpose facility with a space for events, a restaurant or similar and without significant additional cost to Council.

“An Expression of Interest process is the most open and transparent way for Council to find out whether the idea has actual interest from within the private sector.”

EOI documents are available from www.tenderlink.com/tamworth. EOIs close at 11am on Thursday 18 April 2024
