Last Night marked the exciting launch of the Business After 5 (BA5)series, hosted by Apollo Engineering and organized by ChamberConnect, the newly rebranded subcommittee of the TamworthBusiness Chamber.The event, held at Apollo Engineering's premises,brought together over 100 members of the Tamworth Business Chamber for an evening of networking, collaboration, andcommunity engagement.
The evening kicked off with an inspiring welcome from Mayor Russell Webb, who emphasized the importance of such gatherings infostering a vibrant, interconnected local business community. Mayor Webb praised the high turnout and highlighted how theseevents serve as crucial platforms for business owners to connectand support one another.
Dave Errington from Apollo Engineering delivered a compellingpresentation, showcasing the innovative work of his company andsharing insights on industry trends, followed by a fascinating behind the-scenes tour of Apollo Engineering’s facilities. Members had the exclusive opportunity to explore the manufacturing sheds and seefirsthand the impressive range of equipment and technology thatApollo Engineering uses to create unique and customized items. Thetour provided valuable insights into the "toys of the trade" thatenable the company to deliver innovative solutions and bespoke products.
The spotlight was also on several of our newest members, including Elevating Art Studio, Tiny Foxes, UNE Partnerships, and Tamworth CityToyota. Each of these businesses provided valuable perspectivesand showcased the diverse talent within our community.
The event also celebrated the rebranding of the Tamworth JuniorChamber to Chamber Connect, marking a new chapter for thesubcommittee with a renewed focus on enhancing memberengagement and business development.
Adding to the excitement was a lucky door prize—a custom-madefirepit generously donated by Apollo Engineering. Congratulationsto Darrel Swain, a Whitehaven business member, who took homethe grand prize.
Guests enjoyed a selection of delicious warm snacks provided byThe Deck Tamworth, which kept everyone energized and engaged throughout the evening.
The Business After 5 series is set to become a monthly fixture on the local business calendar, with each event hosted at different member business locations on the last Wednesday of every month.These gatherings aim to strengthen our business community,promote local enterprises, and create opportunities for collaboration and growth.
