Calling All Event Organisers: Funding Now Open for 2025/26 Regional Events
Tamworth Business Chamber members are encouraged to apply for the 2025/26 Regional Event Fund, now open through Destination NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure funding for events that showcase our region, attract visitors, and boost the local economy.
Over $14 million has already been distributed to more than 530 regional events since the program began – and your event could be next!
There are three funding streams available, depending on your event’s stage:
1. Incubator Event Stream
For new events (in their first or second year) – up to $20,000 (ex GST) available to help get your event off the ground.

2. Flagship Event Stream
For established events (2+ years) – supports marketing to help grow visitation.
- Annual Grant: $20,000 (ex GST)
- Triennial Grant: $30,000 (ex GST) per year for 3 years (available after 3 successful annual grants)

3. Event Development Stream
For mature events ready to scale – up to $50,000 (ex GST) for strategic growth projects that boost overnight stays.
Open until 31 December 2025 or until funds are exhausted
Events must be held between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026 within regional NSW and meet the criteria outlined in the guidelines. Only one Destination NSW grant can be awarded per event, per financial year.
