Applications for Tamworth Regional Council’s Heritage Assistance Fund 2024-25 are now open.
If you own a home or business that is heritage listed, has heritage features or is located in a heritage precinct that needs some love and care, you could be eligible to apply!
The fund aims to encourage positive work on heritage listed items or buildings located in a heritage precinct in the region. The funding is up to dollar-for-dollar, with more than $50,000 available to share between successful applicants.
Projects can include the repair, maintenance or reinstatement of missing items on heritage buildings or buildings located in a heritage precinct. These might include fences, verandahs, roof cladding and structural work through to final painting of projects and/or decorative detail.
Pictured are the before and after of the old dairy separating room at Elmdale Cottage. Owners Wayne & Marianne replaced the roof and painted the internal and external walls thanks to their successful application in the 2023-24 fund.
