Tamworth Businesses are getting behind the 2025 Kids Cancer Project!
Donations are rolling in from Tamworth businesses with a TARGET of $2,000.00
Among the first to pledge are McKnight Signs, UNE Tamworth and Dave’s Custom Cavaletti & Jump Sets Tamworth.
Business owner, Dave Brand says “Cancer has touched our lives in the cruellest of ways and being able to provide any sort of assistance to not only find a cure but perhaps ease the burden on kids and their families brings us great joy.”
Tamworth City Bowling Club is holding a dance to help raise money and this annual event is being driven by Al Buchan with his band, ‘Al & The Buchaneers’ performing on the night
Business owner, Alison says, “We attended this fundraiser last year and when we saw the request for support on Facebook we immediately jumped on board.”
The Kids Cancer Project raises money for cancer research each year via their official website and with support from community groups holding events like this, across Australia.
Similar events have been held in Tamworth annually since 2022 and Al Buchan says “We raised $400 in 2022, $1,000 in 2023 and $1,600 in 2024. This year, we’re aiming to raise $2,000 with support from the local business community with a fun night for a good cause!”
Everyone is welcome to Dress up as a pirate to add to the fun with prizes for the best dressed! So put on an eyepatch or go the full Captain Jack Sparrow and bring your crew.
